License & CE Tracker.

What does a state preset fill in?

The app has presets for all 50 states and DC. When you add a license, choose the State and then your License type. The preset fills in the short name, the lines, the cycle, the Required hours and any special Requirements, such as ethics hours. Some presets list optional items, like annuity training. Turn on only the ones that apply to you.

Every field stays editable, so you can change a value to match your state's records. To go back to the state's values, tap Reset to shipped preset.

To see where a value came from, tap View sources on the license form. It lists each value with the law or page behind it. The note under the license number shows the date the preset is as of. You can also open Settings and tap State presets to read every preset, or read them on our CE requirements by state page. Your state's records always come first.

My license type isn't in the list. What do I do?

You enter the rules from your state's records. Tap Add license and choose your State. In License type, choose Other (enter by hand), then type your license type. Set the Cycle, the Required hours and your CE due or expiration date.

Under Requirements, tap Add requirement to add a rule of your own. Choose Hours each cycle or One time. For hours, choose Which courses count: a CE category or Classroom courses. To change a requirement you added, tap it. To delete it, swipe it.

If you already have a license with the same rules, tap Duplicate from another license to copy its cycle, hours and requirements. When you log a course, choose its Category, such as ethics.

What does the free version include, and what does the unlock add?

The free version tracks 1 license, 2 CE courses and 1 certification. Courses count every one you have ever logged, including ones from past cycles, so delete a course to free a slot. Deleting a license or a certification frees its slot too. Renewed (archived) certifications don't count. The CE Summary PDF carries a "Free version" stamp.

The unlock is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription. It adds unlimited licenses, courses and certifications, the CE Summary PDF without the stamp, CSV export, the certificate ZIP, and iCloud sync across your iPhone and iPad. To unlock, open Settings and tap Unlock. Pricing coming soon.

Backup and restore are free in both versions.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought the unlock with. Do this after you reinstall the app or set up a new iPhone or iPad.

What happens if my purchase is refunded?

Apple handles all App Store payments, so you ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds the unlock, the app goes back to the free version: iCloud sync stops and the free limits come back. Nothing is deleted or hidden. You can still see all your records, but you can't add more than the free limits allow.

How does iCloud sync work?

iCloud sync is part of the unlock. Your records sync through your own private iCloud, not to our servers. There's no account with us.

When you unlock, the app shows "Turning on iCloud…" for a moment. Then the records already on your device move into iCloud, so you don't lose anything.

To check on sync, open Settings and look under iCloud at the row Licenses, courses and certificates:

  • Up to date or On: sync is working.
  • Off: this device isn't signed in to iCloud. Sign in to iCloud in the iPhone Settings app.
  • Paused: changes wait until iCloud reconnects.
  • iCloud full: new changes stay on this device until you free up iCloud storage.
  • Unlock to sync: you're using the free version, so your records stay on this device.

The Face ID lock is set on each device and doesn't sync.

How do I move to a new iPhone?

If you unlocked: on the new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account and install License & CE Tracker (on your Home Screen it's called CE Tracker). Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. iCloud sync turns on, and your records come back from iCloud.

If you use the free version: make a backup on your old phone first. Open Settings, tap Export & backup, then Back up. Set a password and send the file to your new phone with AirDrop, or save it to Files. On the new phone, open the file in the app (or tap Restore from backup), type the password and tap Replace everything.

Either way, open the app once on the new phone and allow notifications so your reminders are set up. Turn on the Face ID lock again if you use it.

How do backups work?

A backup is one encrypted, password-protected .cebackup file with all your licenses, courses, certificates and settings. It's free to use.

To make one, open Settings, tap Export & backup, then Back up. Type a password of at least 8 characters twice and tap Create backup. Save the file to Files, or send it to another device with AirDrop.

Write the password down. It can't be recovered. Without it, the backup can't be opened, and we can't open it for you.

To restore, tap Restore from backup on the same screen, or open a .cebackup file from Files or AirDrop. Type the password, check what's inside, then tap Replace everything. Restoring replaces all the data now on the phone, and it can't be undone. With iCloud sync on, it replaces the data on your other devices too.

Why aren't my reminders showing up?

Check these, in order:

  • Notifications are allowed. Open Reminders (the bell on the Dashboard, or Settings → Reminders). If it says "Not asked yet", tap Allow notifications. If it says "Off", tap Open Settings and turn notifications on.
  • A Focus mode isn't hiding them. Do Not Disturb, Sleep and other Focus modes can silence reminders. Check Focus in the iPhone Settings app, or allow License & CE Tracker in your Focus.
  • The days before are set. Under License reminders, reminders come 90, 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before a due date to start. Certification reminders start at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before a certification expires. A license or certification can have its own list. Edit it and look under Reminders.
  • The time of day is right. Reminders arrive at the Reminder time, which starts at 9:00 AM.
  • You've opened the app. The app sets up reminders when you open it. After you install it, restore a backup or move to a new phone, open it once so your reminders are scheduled.

iOS keeps up to 64 reminders waiting at a time. If you track a lot of dates, the app schedules the nearest ones and adds more each time you open it.

How do yearly certifications work?

Use certifications for training you redo every year, such as a carrier's product training. Open the Licenses tab, tap More, then Certifications, and tap Add certification. Expires on starts one year from today, so change it to match your certificate.

Each one shows Current, Expires soon (60 days or fewer left) or Expired. You get a reminder at each of the days set under Certification reminders: 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before it expires, to start.

When you redo it, swipe left on it and tap Renew. Set Completed and New expiry, then tap Renew. The old one moves to Archived, so you keep its record. The new one keeps the name, issuer and linked appointment, but not the certificate, so attach the new one.

The free version tracks 1 certification. Archived ones don't count, so renewing never needs the unlock.

How do I contact support?

Write to us at support@insuranceagentsuite.com.

From the app, open Help: tap the book on the Dashboard, or open Settings and tap Help & how-tos. Under Contact support, tap Email support. Your Mail app opens with our address, a subject, and your app and iOS version filled in, so we can help faster. Use another email app? Tap Copy address and paste it there.

Please leave out your license numbers and other private details. We don't need them to help.
