Privacy Policy

The short version

License & CE Tracker does not collect, sell or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no Graycells servers, no analytics and no ads. Your licenses, courses and certificates stay on your iPhone or iPad, and with the optional unlock, in your own private iCloud. That is why the app's privacy label on the App Store says “Data Not Collected.”

Who we are

License & CE Tracker is an iPhone and iPad app made by Graycells LLC (“we”, “us”). It helps insurance agents track their licenses, continuing education (CE) hours, yearly certifications and renewal dates. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information.

Information we collect

None. Graycells LLC does not run any server that receives data from the app. The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising code, and no third-party code other than Apple's own.

Information stored on your iPhone or iPad

Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your device. It is never sent to us:

• Your details: name, NPN, email, agency, phone and resident state.
• Your licenses, with their dates, cycles and requirements.
• Your CE courses and the certificates you attach to them (scans, photos and PDFs).
• Your yearly certifications and carrier appointments.
• Your reminder settings and other app settings.

The app uses the camera only when you scan a certificate, and the scan stays in the app. When you add a photo, the app gets only the photo you pick, not your photo library.

If you delete the app, this information is deleted from your device with it. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, this information may be part of that backup, under Apple's terms.

iCloud sync

iCloud sync comes with the optional unlock. Once you unlock, the app syncs the information above, including your certificates and your details, through your own private iCloud database, so it shows up on your other iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple stores that data under the Apple Privacy Policy and your iCloud terms. Graycells can't see it. In the free version, nothing goes to iCloud through the app. The Face ID lock setting stays on each device and does not sync.

Face ID

If you turn on the lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. The app only learns whether the check passed. It never sees or stores your face, fingerprint or passcode.

Reminders and Calendar

Reminders are notifications that the app schedules on your device. They do not pass through any server of ours. The app asks to add events to Calendar only when you tap Add due dates to Calendar. It then adds all-day events for your license due dates and certification expiry dates, named for the license or certification. The app can add events but can't read your calendar. Once added, the events belong to your Calendar app and sync the way your calendars do.

Exports and backups

Information leaves the app only when you send it. The Summary PDF, the course list (CSV) and the certificate ZIP go only to the apps, places and people you pick in the share sheet, such as Mail, Files or AirDrop.

A backup is one file locked with a password you choose (AES-GCM encryption). It goes only where you save or send it. We never get the password and can't open a backup for you. Restoring a backup replaces everything in the app. If iCloud sync is on, the restore syncs too: your other devices then show the backup's records, and what was there before is gone on them as well.

Links in the app

Links to this website and to state sources open in your web browser. Those sites see a normal visit, as from any browser, and handle it under their own policies.

Purchases

The optional one-time unlock is bought through Apple's App Store, and Apple handles the purchase. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account details. The app only checks with the App Store whether the unlock has been bought.

Contacting support

When you tap Email support, the app opens your email app with our address, a subject, and the app and iOS versions filled in. Nothing is sent until you send the message yourself. We get only what you send, and we use it only to help you. Please leave out license numbers and other private details. We don't need them.

This website

insuranceagentsuite.com has no cookies, no scripts, no analytics and no ads, and it loads nothing from other sites. It is hosted on GitLab Pages. Like most web hosts, GitLab may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type, under the GitLab Privacy Statement. We don't use those logs to track you.

Children

License & CE Tracker is a work tool for insurance agents and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change ever means the app would collect information, we will say so here before that version of the app is released.
